Theatre Sound Design for Heavier Than… at Hobart & William Smith Colleges

I provided the sound design for the Hobart & William Smith Colleges production of Heavier Than…. The play is a modern telling of the Greek myth of the Minotaur and includes the character of Icarus, the boy with wings. Director Heather May’s original concept meetings for the production included references to Da Vinci’s sketches of a human-powered flying machine from which I drew the inspiration to incorporate sounds of wooden cogs and gears into the “wings flapping” sound effects called for in the script.
